
Ambassador, Bangladesh Embassy in Mexico With Concurrent Accreditation to Guatemala, Honduras, Ecuador, and Costa Rica Former Foreign Policy & Press Freedom Advocate | Washington, D.C.-Based Former Journalist Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey has been appointed by the head of Bangladesh’s Interim Government, Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, to a three-year contract in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the status of Senior Secretary.
A former Washington, D.C.-based journalist, Ansarey gained recognition for his incisive questions during UN and U.S. State Department briefings and his contributions to international media. He served as the Executive Editor of South Asia Perspectives (SAP), a Washington, D.C.-based foreign policy magazine, and was previously an editor and White House correspondent for JustNewsBD, covering the UN, U.S. State Department, and Pentagon.
As the Executive Director of Right to Freedom (R2F), a nonprofit dedicated to human rights and press freedom, Ansarey championed free expression on the global stage.
